LOSD PD 2019

Imagine a student who underperforms academically due to a lack of discovery of how he processes and makes sense out of new information, and he consequently demonstrates boredom with school and becomes a behavioral challenge. This highly-engaging session will take attendees on a self-reflective journey of their current instructional practices toward engaging underperforming learners while they simultaneously self-assess their own current levels of effectiveness with these students. It will also engage attendees in a self-assessment of how cultural responsiveness and equitable practices factor into their instruction for all of the learners in their classroom.
